Overview for NEW Certification:

This course was designed by the American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI) to provide the lay responder training for controlling severe bleeding, including direct pressure, commercial pressure bandages, commercial tourniquet use and packed dressings (homeostatic). According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, traumatic injuries are one of the leading causes of death for people under 50 and therefore ANYONE may need this course.

COURSE LENGTH: 1.5-3 hours

Prerequisites: We highly recommend that participants have had some type of First Aid course in the last two years, but no previous first aid training is required.

Certification: Successful course completion earns you an ASHI Advanced Bleeding Control certification.

*The videos and hands-on skills may be too graphic for some participants. We do use fake blood and injuries for the practical skills to reinforce skills.
